2022 NDRL Indigenous all stars game 2022

Mt Rawdon supported the second round of the annual Northern Districts Rugby League Indigenous All Stars Game. Saturday 3rd September 2022 saw our 2nd Annual NDRL Indigenous All Stars Match – an annual reconciliation action event, sponsored by Evolution. A wonderful afternoon was shared despite the heavy rain overnight. Sportsmanship, inclusivity, and community were on show by both men and women players with jumping castles, face painting and other activities entertained approximately 300 attendees.

As part of the 2022 NDRL Indigenous All-stars game MRO ordered extra jerseys to sell, with the proceeds donated to a local Indigenous Group in Gin Gin. Around 100 jerseys were sold, and the cheque was presented to the Wan’di Aboriginal Community Group who strives to provide cultural education and connection to the local community and schools. Wan’di means “to roam” in the local language.

It was a point of pride to see the ‘sold out’ sign go up for the jerseys.
