NSW Cowal

In 2025, our Cowal Gold Operations celebrated a decade of impactful community investment initiatives and Shared Value Projects focused on positive and sustainable legacies. These include our Galari Agricultural Company Shared Value Project, the Lake Cowal Foundation and InHabitat partnership, Bland Shire Youth Art Project, five-year partnership with Bland Shire Council Skin Check Truck, and Grazing Down the Lachlan.

In FY25, Cowal contributed $15,000 toward Down the Track’s Trackin’ Good Social Enterprise Program as part of our Cowal Partnering Program. Trackin’ Good provides young people with the opportunity to gain work experience, training and skills in a supported environment to prepare them for the workforce and increase their employability and confidence.

The team also contributed $280,000 over two years to the Lake Cowal Foundation’s InHabitat Shared Value Project. Opening in 2025, this integrated eco-tourism and environmental education project will incorporate the Lake Cowal Conservation Centre to deliver education, awareness, and conservation outcomes to the community.

These projects were visited by Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC, Governor of New South Wales, in early March as part of a visit to the region, where the Governor also met with the Bland Shire Council, attended the opening of Down the Track in Lake Cargelligo and visited the Lake Cowal Foundation.
