Mungari’s the Hope Project continues to break ground

We are proud to have partnered with local community groups and businesses in Kalgoorlie to increase the capacity of the Goldfields Women’s Refuge, providing additional housing to women and children escaping domestic violence or at risk of homelessness. This has become known as the Hope Project.

Six short-stay, trauma-informed units have been installed as part of the Project, with work underway to furnish the facilities, construct the staircase and complete landscaping. Evolution contributed further by volunteering support during the build.

Upon completion, the Goldfields Women’s Refuge will continue its work in accommodating women with complex issues, providing domestic and family violence survivors with support services such as access to specialist mental health care, along with enabling the economic independence of survivors.
