In March the Ontario Ministry of Northern Development hosted Evolution’s Vice President Sustainability, Fiona Murfitt at a Roundtable discussion of Canadian government and industry leaders who support transformative growth opportunities in Northern Ontario. The roundtable kicked off the annual Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada Mineral Exploration and Mining Convention (PDAC) held in Toronto.

A team from our Red Lake Operations attended PDAC to connect with investors, exhibitors, organisations and industry representatives at the three-day learning and networking event. The convention fostered conversations with mining industry professionals, community and First Nation partners, vendors and suppliers, and highlighted value creating opportunities and synergies across the business. Interest in Red Lake was high in line with its strategic transformation journey underway.

Continued government and industry engagement via these forums further supported Evolution’s already strong regional economic and community connections by helping to align our strategic approach with the priorities of our key industry partners, including enhancing government support for our people and operations.
