The Burnett Mary Regional Group (BMRG) is aiming to strengthen their research capability bringing together existing projects and developing additional research and education facilities across the region. Our partnership with BMRG is focussed on the development of Elliot Heads Wetland, Research Centre and Mangrove Nursery. This Shared Value Project is aimed at developing the Elliot Heads Wetland, Research Centre and Mangrove Nursery to incorporate Sustainability into the development of this new community.

In FY23, Evolution Mining will contribute towards the purchase of the Elliot Heads research area; support the development of the proposed Elliot Heads Wetland, Research Centre and Mangrove Nursery and contribute to the broader Eco-Trail project.

The broader vision is the establishment of a coastal and marine research centre, seagrass nursery and wetland trail, also made accessible to the community. All of which would be connected to the cultural heritage of the Traditional Owners of the region and highlight their connection to Land & Sea Country and traditional practices.
