Red Lake holds their first ever Community Fall Festival

Our Red Lake Operations was thrilled to host their first community-wide Fall Festival, in the 2022 fall. The free community event was accessible, and fun for all ages and groups. There were games, prizes and raffles, bouncy castles, a petting zoo, live entertainment, delicious food, and even a star-studded dunk tank.

Participants particularly enjoyed the scavenger hunt organised by our Mine Rescue Team, giving rare insight into what mine rescue is all about. Thanks to these participants, the community’s support, and generous sponsors, the event raised over $5,000 for the Red Lake Family Food Bank. We matched these funds and presented an overall cheque for $11,310.50 to this vital community resource supporting community resilience. A huge shout out to members of the RLO team who braved the frigid water and even colder air to help.
